Have you found yourself wondering what exactly Spirulina is and why people are going absolutely crazy over it?

Well, here is the answer for you!

According to LiveScience, Spirulina contains significant amounts of calcium, niacin, potassium, magnesium, B vitamins and iron…

It also has essential amino acids (compounds that are the building blocks of proteins)

It’s an organism that grows in both fresh and salt water and is a type of cyanobacteria, which is a family of single-celled microbes that are often referred to as blue-green algae

These things combined with the healthy ingredients in a smoothie bowl really do make for such a healthy meal

Often times these smoothie bowls are low enough in calories to also have something on the side, even for those of us on a very strict diet!

This chia vegan smoothie reminds me of the book “the rainbow fish”

It has little black dots from the seeds that create such an awesome almost scale like look. It’s healthy, delicious, and extremely easy to make

How do you even say acai anyway? Tomato tome-ott-oh… either way, this is amazing!

Banana Whip

Me and bananas have had quite a friendship throughout my life

My parents told me that when I was really young I absolutely hated bananas

They gave it a rest for a couple of years but when I was about four years old I remember them telling me “honey, how could you not like bananas? They are always smiling at you!”

I tried them again after that and loved them. Ever since then, I started eating them every day

Then, in college, I learned about the “banana girl”. If you don’t know who she is, her name is Freelee the banana girl (look her up) and all she eats are bananas. She will have 12-15 bananas a day

I wanted to be her and for two weeks I did this. Then I got ice cream and pizza because I realized this was absolutely not sustainable, but hey; two weeks on bananas, obviously I love them.

If you like smoothie bowls that have some banana flavoring to them this is one for you!

Is there any surprise here when I say this is one of my favorite recipes and have one almost weekly? This recipe is extremely healthy and yummy

You’ll love it!
