Pushaw said Friday that she was particularly upset by the story because she felt the AP had politicized a public health problem and called the letter a departure from criticism that has outgrown the story.
“They were caught publishing misinformation that could endanger the lives of Floridians by making them mistrust life-saving treatment … about a governor they decided they don’t like,” she said. “They called them in part because of me, in part because the story was so obviously wrong … They provoked it by posting this kind of dangerous misinformation.”
